The Kingdom of Wei-Ling is one of the 140 kingdoms that appeared in the Disney Junior animated series Sofia the First. It is based on China and the homeland of Princess Jun. It is part of the Tri-Kingdom Area, alongside the kingdoms of Enchancia and Khaldoun and one of Enchancia's closest neighbors.
Background[]
Unlike the other two kingdoms in the Tri-Kingdom Area, Wei-Ling is an Imperial Monarchy whose ruler is an Emperor. The Kingdom's current ruler is Emperor Quon, who is married to Empress Lin-Lin. Many years ago, Wei-Ling came under threat from the Jade Jaguar. The Jaguar ravaged the Kingdom stealing everyone's gold and jewels. Emperor Quon dispatched the Imperial Sorcerer Wu-Chang to deal with him. Wu-Chang used a spell to give himself the ability to speak to the Jaguar and offered him a deal: If he agrees to stay in his cave, he would be given ten thousand pieces of treasure. The Jaguar accepted the deal and the Empire has been safe ever since. Years later, King Roland II of Enchancia and his kids, Princess Amber, Prince James, and Princess Sofia, come to visit Wei-Ling. James and Quon's son Prince Jin find the map to the Jade Jaguar's cave and go find it. They get stuck in the cave after they fall into the Jaguar's trap. So do Roland and Quon. Fortunately, they are rescued by Sofia, Amber, and Quon's daughter Princess Jun.
